Hope all you lovely peeps are very well. I've been working hard on another video ;) Starting to get used to making them. I now realise how much work that goes into one and thank you all who have done them and shared them for us for tutorials and inspiration!!
I have a baby boy card to share with you using the Prima Bedtime Story Collection. I have sat on this collection for ages daring not to open the packaging in case I mar its beauty... Seriously got to get over this hoarding and drooling problem I have and dive in and use it!!
This collection is just perfect nursery rhyme goodness for boys and girls.
Okay, so I've seen this amazing challenge at 7 Dots Studio, and found some time to be able to play along. I love their papers.... and have you seen the new releases?
So this challenge, it is called 'Parts of Your Face'. Different huh? And very cool!!
I've seen a lot of layout entries with faces, and they are totally gorgeous, but I really wanted to try and find another, more original way to express this theme. Then I remembered some of the Prima Relics & Artefacts by Sandra Evertson, which happen to be faces and parts of faces and which, I have been conveniently hoarding - it was meant to be :)
Here is my entry for their challenge:
I chose the lips to be part of the face I wanted to express, so only coloured those in and, of course, applied a gloss... what can I say, typical gal!! Loved how the paint, when applied, created a natural feathering at the edges.
I chose the Lost and Found collection and used the 6 x 6 collection as well as the Tag sheet to build up the background. The the Lost and Found Elements sheet, and Words sheet.
I have a set of stamp from 7 Dots (Thoughts Keeper), which I used for the background with a white pigment ink
I loved the idea of using the speech bubble to hold the word/title 'Inherited', as of course, where do we get our features from?!! And with the part I chose it just fitted perfectly! It seemed to just fall in to place :)
Just a quick post sharing a mixed media tag I have done for the challenge over at Mixed Media World.
The challenge this month is Get In Gear and here is my take on it:
For the gears I used chippies from Dusty Attic, I do like their designs!
The colours were inspired by the Lindy's Stamp Gang Color Challenge for April. I do enjoy their mood boards, so vibrant and I'm really loving the brights right now. Lindy's sprays, for me, have to be the best out there in terms of colour quality and variety. Plus they have the extras with embossing powders and Magicals... yum!!
I used some bling from Prima to add a little extra sparkle.
I did some 'rough' stamping on the gears/clock as well as the base to bring the two layers together.
I know when people think 'gears' their mind will go rusty brown colours, but I really wanted to change that idea with exploring brights. I used Prima's Debutante chipboard pieces, and the 'Grand Time' seemed like the perfect way to capture the idea of gears.
I embossed all the gears with Lindy's EP, Merry Go Round Green
