New challenge of at Mixed Media World, as usual we have a break in January but we are back, complete with new teams too. Please pop on over to say hi if you get the chance :)
For the anything goes challenge, I decided to do an art journal page on canvas board. I chose to go for a more intuitive style than anything with purpose and structure. It is actually quite freeing and seriouslyrecommend it, especially if you have never tried it before. It really is like letting your emotions out in paint!!
I used lots of Finnabar's Art Alchemy Paints and Gesso, also, of course, one of her beautiful Vintage Mechanical Hearts!
My layout was inspired by 7 Dots Studio challenge this month - 'Monochromatic'. Using gorgeous supplies from this brand available at Mixed Media Place shop, as well as Finnabair products like Art Stones, Embellishments and Art Alchemy. For more details please do hop across, for now I will leave you with some close ups :)
What a week! Honestly it has been truly incredible... I am not only getting my first cover for a magazine, which has made me so incredibly happy, I cannot even begin to convey it!
But today, I'm up over on the Prima Marketing Blog as their guest!! Say what.....!!! Pinch me, Pinch me, PINCH ME.... :) Completely delirious!!!
So I think this is a perfect time to thank you to everyone out there, to all that have supported me either via my blog, instagram or Facebook - every like, love and comment mean so much to me... Thank you for all the inspiration YOU provide, the tutorials you share, the smiles you bring. You really are an amazing bunch and don't we just have the best community!!
Completely inspired by two gorgeous brands that go together like ice cream and cookie dough. I looked to the challenges this month from Lindy's (for the colour scheme) and Dusty Attic (for the layout). I chose Vintage Artistry - The Report background paper.
Gorgeous flowers (Roses White) from 49, allowing great absorption of colour whilst still holding it's structural integrity. I tried as best as I could to capture the shimmer of those sprays on the flowers here - hope you can see it :)
Showing a close up of the stencil (LOVE this design) pattern using Light Paste with Magicals and glitter glass.
Some lovely chippies - each embossed with a different powder from Lindy's and the flower sprayed with two of their colours.
Finally getting a chance to use my own stamp design (With All Your Heart) in a layout :) eek - exciting! Love how it looks peek through from behind the stencil and title.
For this layout I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Well I figured it was about time I make another hand bound journal to add to the collection. Each time I learn something new in this remarkable adventure. Something extra to add, or adapt to the next. Using some amazing products from Mixed Media Place, mediums, metal embellishments and even rust paste.
I'm not going to go in to too much detail here, but there is more over at Mixed Media Place blog. For now, here are some pics:
Thank you for stopping by and as always it means so much to me seeing you here.
Wishing you the best year possible with lots of creative mojo!
